Nothing says autumn like fresh-pressed apple juice and good company!

Join us for a Community Apple Pressing Day — bring your apples, roll up your sleeves, and turn the harvest into delicious homemade juice! Expect laughter, sticky hands, great conversations, and plenty of tasting along the way.

Whether you’ve got bags of apples to share or just want to meet new people and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone’s welcome. Come press, sip, snack, and make new friends in the heart of the community.

We are excited to say it will be at our Orchard! Whilst we will not have any produce to juice, we are still delighted to have the apple pressing here at Bucknells Meadow (off Mapledurham Drive, Purley Village)

We ask people to come along, with some of their own apples and windfalls, (if they have some) and a container for transporting and be prepared to build a few muscles in cranking the press!

We have been holding an Apple Pressing afternoon for a few years now and it always a fun family event - mark your diaries now!

Sunday 21st September 2025, we teamed up with PAWS for a fantastic Apple Pressing Day. Blessed with sunshine, the event drew families, friends, and neighbours of all ages. Everyone brought along apples—an amazing variety!—and the press was in constant use (with just a couple of quick repairs thanks to the ever-handy Repair Café volunteers). The waste was barrowed to Whitchurch allotments for composting, and countless bottles were filled with delicious, fresh apple juice. By the end, the area was spotless, with everything tidied away.
